Dr. Mitch Prinstein, a Seters Distinguished Professor of Clinical Psychology, is the recipient of a 2016 National Institutes of Health R01 supplemental grant.

The Research Project Grant (R01) is the original and historically oldest grant mechanism used by NIH. The R01 provides support for health-related research and development based on the mission of the NIH.

Dr. Prinstein received a total award of over $600,000 (over four years) for his project, “Multilevel Biomarkers for Suicidal Behavior: From Interpersonal Stress to Gene Expression in a Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Girls.”
