Donte Bernard, a graduate student in Clinical Psychology, is the recipient of a 2017 Graduate and Professional Student Federation (GPSF) Student Excellence in Mentoring Award.

The Student Excellence in Mentoring Award was established by the GPSF to recognize graduate and professional students at UNC Chapel Hill who exemplify excellence in mentoring other graduate and professional students. Mentorship occurs in a multitude of realms on campus, facilitated by the diverse roles and responsibilities undertaken by graduate and professional students. Areas of mentorship include, but are not limited to, teaching, research, professional development, and academic success.
