Dr. Enrique Neblett, an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology, will serve on a Faculty Advisory Committee on the Confederate Statute for the UNC Office of Faculty Governance.
The creation of the new faculty advisory committee is to be included by the university administration in all planning for the disposition of the statute and related actions or developments and was passed recently in resolutions 2018-10 and 2019-1 by the UNC Faculty Council. Recommendations were solicited from the entire faculty at Carolina and Dr. Neblett, along with 14 other faculty who represent a range of departments and schools, have agreed to serve. Dr. Theodore Shaw from the School of Law will chair the Faculty Advisory Committee on the Confederate Statute.
